Well working on the digital marketing and reporting efforts of small to enterprise-level companies, I’ve learned that B2B software can help streamline processes, create better operational visibility, generate growth, and help businesses track and accomplish their goals.

A team must know which B2B software to use, implement it, and then use it as intended.

For example, suppose you will upgrade to a new CRM like Salesforce. In that case, it does little use to your organization if the sales and marketing teams are not using it or using it as intended.

So with the below B2B software list, make sure you have a champion to follow through with the implementation and adoption from teams and colleagues.

We’ll cover software that can help generate more leads, streamline lead nurturing, provide better customer experiences, boost SEO rankings, send proposals, and much more in the below list.

Let’s dive in!

87+ Marketing Tools to Scale and Grow Your Business

As a digital marketing manager, I use multiple tools to help execute different marketing strategies.

Whether that’s researching competition, grabbing a screenshot to share with a team member, evaluating a sales funnel, or checking for SEO issues, there are hundreds of different types of marketing tools that can help you elevate your business.

There are over 87 different online marketing tools in this list that can help with anything from optimizing marketing campaigns to writing content with AI.

Use this list to get ideas and find tools that can help solve a problem you are facing.

Types of Marketing Tools:

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools
  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Tools
  • Social Media Marketing Tools
  • Content Writing Tools
  • Design Tools
  • Video Marketing Tools
  • Engagement Tools
  • Email Marketing Tools
  • Content Management System (CMS) Tools
  • Lead Generation Tools
  • Customer Relationship (CRM) Tools
  • Project Management Tools
  • Team Collaboration and Communication Tools
  • Marketing Analytics Tools
  • Sales Funnel Visualization Tools
  • Landing Page Builders Tools
  • Landing Page and Conversion Optimization Tools
  • Webinar Tools
  • Screen Capture Tools

What are the best marketing tools?

The best marketing tool will help you solve a problem, save time and money, and elevate your business. Here are my recommendations for the best marketing tools:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools

1. SurferSEO

Surfer SEO guides your content creation by analyzing the content from competitors that rank of the first page of Google’s organic search results. It provides you with the terms, headings, word count, and images that you should include to help your content match or be better than the competition.

2. HARO

Help a Reporter Out (HARO) is a platform that matches journalists with sources that have expertise. You can signup as a source and get a daily email for a target keyword. Sources can give their expertise and in turn, get backlinks from a journalist if the journalists choose you as a source for their content.

3. Ahrefs

This is the go-to keyword and site research tool for every serious SEO. You can review site URL metrics, keyword volumes, analyze the search engine results pages (SERPs), and plenty more. I like to use Ahrefs for keyword research to see what the volume is and how competitive a term is. Their SERP overview shows which URLs are listed on page one of Google for a target keyword and breakdowns the Domain Authority, URL authority, number of backlinks, and more to give you a sense of how competitive the term is.

4. SEMrush

SEM hosts over 50 digital marketing tools and reports for SEO, content, market research, and more. This is a great all-in-one platform if you are an agency or consultant that wants to provide additional data and reports outside of SEO keyword research.

5. MOZ

MOZ is a great tool for tracking your SEO rankings and on-site SEO tips. You can see which keywords your site has improved or lost rankings and get insight into how you can improve your content or metadata to better your chances at ranking higher on the SERPs.

6. Keywords Everywhere Chrome Extension

I’ve been using the keywords everywhere tool for years. It’s now a paid tool, but it’s well worth buying some credits. When you google a search term, the extension will show you the search volume and competitive metrics for that term right in your search bar. They get the metrics from the Google API so it matches what you would see in the Google Ads keyword planner.

7. Google Trends

A great free tool that shows you the interest over time for topics or search terms. You can look at different time periods to get a sense of how popular a term is. For example, if you search the term “Olympics” you’ll see the interest spike every four years which correlates with the timing of the Olympics when more users search that term.

8. Google Alerts

What to keep track of certain trends or topics? With Google Alerts you can get a weekly or daily notification from Google on a term you choose. They will provide a list of the latest news and articles on that topic in the email. This is a great way to stay on top of certain trends or industry news. I currently get alerts for crypto, digital marketing, and augmented reality terms. It’s really convenient to get an email and skim for anything that interests you. Save a lot of time from manually reviewing things.
